Contrary to nearly every other Kamen Rider in the Rider War of Kamen Rider Ryuki, and possibly also to every other Rider featured in Rider Generation 2 (barring the Shocker Riders), Kamen Rider Odin has a personality distaff from anyone who might be wearing him - which generally consists of a sheer lack of personality. In Ryuki, he is the overwhelmingly powerful vessel of Rider War mastermind Shiro Kanzaki's will, replacing any will of whoever transforms into him with his own. Odin's role is to guarantee Kanzaki's victory in the Rider War by eliminating all other entrants, and to use Time Vent to restart the War should the execution of Kanzaki's wish not go as planned.

In Rider Generation 2, Odin serves as the Stage 3 boss, and appears utterly oblivious to the fact that he is involved in a completely different type of conflict. His words are delivered as if scripted well in advance, assuming the Kamen Riders advancing upon him are simultaneously fighting against each other. It is unknown what semi-canonical reason Odin would have for joining the player Riders upon completion of the game, though his somewhat automated nature conjures a hilarious image of the others simply winding him up and letting him loose.

(For Rider Generation 2 on PSP, replace A with Circle.)

  • A: Gold Saber
  • ← or → + A: Feather Burst
  • ↓ + A: Goldphoenix
  • A (Mid-Jump): strong kick
  • L + A (Super Special Move): Eternal Chaos
  • R (Rider Ability): Teleport

  • As a boss character, Odin has no dialog with other bosses (thankfully for his rather scripted nature), and cannot be used as a Player or Partner for Stage 3-7 or Another-10, being both stages' boss (albeit in midboss form for the latter). His finisher also lacks the photo cut-in that all non-boss Riders' finishers (excluding Double Finishes) feature.
  • As a boss, Odin is in fact the only boss in both games whose stock dialogue features no variation based on which player Rider is facing him. (This assumes an entire stage's worth of conversations as a boss encounter; Judah in RG1 and Goura in RG2 both have conversation instances that are just as rigid, but are part of stages where they (or the stage's actual boss) speak with variant dialogue in other convos.)
  • Odin is shown in Ryuki to own a Survive card like Ryuki and Knight, but is never featured using it in the show or other media, and furthermore lacks a separate Survive design like other non-Ryuki, non-Knight Riders have been depicted with in works such as "S.I.C. Hero Saga." This has sparked some debate over whether or not Odin was actually in Survive form all along, and whether or not you think he was skews Odin's place in this wiki's various tallies of "secondary Riders with/without access to all their forms" and similar.
